Meeting Plans and Ideas for Scout Leaders From Daisies to Ambassadors

An Easy Girl Scout Craft for All Seasons

My daughter’s finished project.

Here is an easy Girl Scout craft that I did with my Brownie troop during our very first Brownie meeting of the year.  I always start our first meetings with a craft and games.

This year, we made decoupage pumpkins.  I bought large wooden cut outs for one dollar each at Michaels, along with scrapbook paper and all of the other decoupage supplies.  If you are unfamiliar with basic decoupage, here is a quick tutorial:

1. Put Mod Podge on the object you are gluing (in this case, the pumpkin).

2. Put the piece of scrapbook paper on the glued area.

3. When the entire area is covered with paper, brush on a coat of Mod Podge.  It will dry clear.

This Girl Scout activity can be done with any kind of wood cut out for any season.  You can substitute multi-colored tissue paper or magazine pictures for scrapbook paper.
