As volunteers, we are occasionally pressured into doing things we may not want to do. We also sometimes feel like we are responsible for every girl in our troop outside of our meetings.
We need to stop, take a breath, and collect ourselves.
Being a volunteer does not mean we are at the beck and call of every parent or of our Service Unit. Just because we chose to be the responsible one to take the leadership role, it does not mean we are responsible for everything and everyone.
I just wrote an article entitled Girl Scout Leader Requirements.
Is there anything else you think that we are not responsible for?
