For Girl Scout troops across the country, three different kinds of ceremonies are taking place.

First, there is the Girl Scout Investiture ceremony, where girls who are brand new to scouting are welcomed.

The second is the Rededication Ceremony, where girls get to celebrate the start of the new scouting year together. (Look here at page 16 to find a sample Rededication Ceremony).

For leaders who have both new and returning girls, these ceremonies can be held in conjunction-no need for two separate ones!

The third ceremony is the Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony (I have one planned and ready for you to use for each level here). Some leaders like to bridge in the spring, while other like to wait until the fall to see who is returning to the troop. It does not matter, as the scouting year goes from October 1st to September 30th,

There are Welcome Back to Troop and Welcome to Troop certificates that you can give your girls for each level during these ceremonies.

Celebrating the Girls With a Girl Scout 5 Year Milestone Patch

For 5th grade Juniors who started Girl Scouts in kindergarten and 6th grade Cadettes who began their scouting journey in 1st grade, there is a special patch and certificate that you can give to them that honors this special occasion.
