Meeting Resources for Leaders Changing Levels and for New Leaders

Are you heading into the new scouting year with a new troop level? Are you a brand new leader? Here are some resources for you to start planning the new scouting year.

Updated September 2022

Back to troop time is here and as a leader, you are getting ready for a new year with different badge requirements. What may have taken one meeting as Girl Scout Brownies may take two for Girl Scout Juniors. Honestly, it is not a big deal. There is no badge for earning all the badges! The goal is for girls to not just earn a badge-it is to learn the skills that go along with it.

I have five websites for leaders to help you plan the year and my Teachers Pay Teachers store.

Leadership Made Simple

I created Leadership Made Simple in the winter of 2021. As a leader for 13 years, I knew where there were gaps and things that were missing from the Girl Scout program. Plus, I knew as I got busier with life, I needed resources that I could print and go or have very little prep work.

I have used my years of experience to create guides, meeting plans, and games for all levels of scouting. My goal is to add 6 products each month and spread that across all levels of scouting.

Girl Scout Junior Resources

Junior year can be challenging for leaders for several reasons. First of all, you probably have been leading your girls for four or five years, and burn our and fatigue can start to set in if you have been carrying the bulk of the load. The girls in your troop are also starting the very early stages of puberty, and all the drama and attitude that goes along with it.

At this stage of leadership, you may be thinking of changing things up a bit to make scouting a different experience for all of you. It is also at this stage of leadership that you get tired of planning and planning and planning.
