Here is a fun, low cost activity for your girls to do for your end of the year meeting-hand out Girl Scout paper plate awards!

Many leaders take the summers off from meetings to recharge. Before the last Girl Scout meeting of the year, have your troop decorate paper plates for your final meeting awards.
Materials
- Large white paper plates
- Crayons or markers (crayons only for the center)
- Pencils
- Stickers (small ones without words)
- Sample plates made for the girls to see (you can find samples here)
- Paper plates award list (listed below)

Feel free to create your own for the special girls you lead.
Once your co-leader and you have come up with a list that fits your troop, decide who will receive which award.

Share with the girls that they are going to decorate the edges of the paper plate and show your sample without words written on it. Have the girl write her name in pencil on the back so she does not receive her own plate during the award ceremony.
Collect the plates and at home, go over the list and in black or dark thick marker, write the award in the center of the plate.
At your last Girl Scout meeting of the year, allow 10-15 minutes for each girl to receive her award.
