This is a difficult time to be a Girl Scout leader. The longer we stay apart from our troop, the more we lose the special connection we created. For leaders of younger girls, parents are simply overwhelmed with crisis schooling, managing their jobs, and trying to keep up with the house. I have read posts from heartbroken leaders who have not has any, or very little response, from their troop and the troop parents. They are ready to throw in the towel.

With the slow reopening of outdoor spaces, your area may be one where small gatherings can meet. If this is the case, there are certain rules that must be adhered to, and the most important one is wearing a mask.

Masks do not protect you from germs; they protect others from YOUR germs. So it makes total sense to wear one with your troop when you meet socially distant outdoors.

You can buy a mask as with your troop funds as part of their uniform, since the girls will be meeing with you and wearing them.

Here are some fun Girl Scout masks that you can create and give to your troop. There are hundreds of design choices, so you cn as your girls what their favorite animal is, favorite color, or what they would want to have on a mask. The followig masks are just some of what is available on Zazzle, where there is always a sale and a coupon code to use!

Upload your own text, photo, or design to personalize this custom cloth face cover. You can use a photo of each girl in her uniform, a troop photo, or something else that is unique and special to your troop.

Like the mask in white, you can upload your own photo, text or design that you want.

This mask comes in many colors and only looks like glitter-real glitter is not used.

Are you planning on gathering with your troop in the near future?
